Here is part of chapter 3, word for word, as printed on pages 24–25.
Chapter 3 · How do you link AARP to a restaurant rewards account?
How it works
- Have your AARP membership number ready. You need it to link the accounts. The Senior List says AARP costs $12 per year and can save you up to 15 percent at restaurants. Tasting Table says AARP generally serves people 50 and older.
- Pick a chain to start with. SeniorLiving.org names six rewards programs you can link: Auntie Anne’s Rewards, Cinnabon Rewards, Jamba Rewards, McAlister’s Rewards, Moe Rewards and Schlotzsky’s Rewards. At each one, AARP members save 10 percent every day at participating locations.
…and 6 more steps in the guide.
Remember
At these six chains, you get the AARP 10 percent by joining or signing in to the chain’s rewards account and entering your AARP membership number. Then make sure the discount shows, and ask if your local store takes part.
